Then He Kissed Me

Then He Kissed Me- The Crystals

Tomorrow is Friday, and Tomorrow night is FRIDAY NIGHT! Have a night worth singing about!

Rockabilly Babby

Spending my days styling the pint sized clients of Wittlebee, is getting me thinking about cute Rockabilly clothes (and decorating my own babies some day)! Since Pin up queens have babies too, here are some places to get cute clothes for your little greasers and pink ladies.

Bettie Page Clothing - Bettie Page now has matching dresses for the little gals, and they are ADORABLE!.

Punk Baby Clothes - This site has a ton of styles! They have everything from bibs and onsies, to super cute shoes and tutus!

There are more out there if you want to search for them, but these 2 have a lot of things I love. Etsy probably has some pretty cool vintage baby clothes too!

Super Cute Kids Clothes!

Wittlebee - My new employer! Wittlebee, is kind of like Jewel Mint and Shoe Dazzle and such, in that you make a style profile with: sizes, favorite colors, pieces you need, pieces you don't, and so on. Every month, Wittlebee will automaticly send you a new box of clothes to fit your style and needs! Not just baby clothes, either! Wittle bee starts at 0-3 months, up to a 6T. Really cute stuff, and some individual  designer pieces are worth more than your monthly subscription, so it really pays for its self. :)

Cat-eye Glasses

I'm getting my eyes checked next Saturday, and I am more than a bit nervous. The last (and only) time I had my eyes checked, was in 1st grade when I faked headaches to get out of math class. If they do make me get a pair of cheaters, I'm thinking cat-eye!

Marilyn and Katy manage to make them look pretty good, so I'm hoping I can too. So far, other than the random vintage glasses on Etsy, the Ray Bans are looking like winners.

I Plan My Days Around My Clothing.

I LOVE my birthday dresss! I finally replaced the old one and I kind of just want to wear it every day. I'll confess that it might be a bit much for the grocery store, but who the hell cares?!
Perhaps I'll have to come up with some excuses to wear it. I'm thinking tea time at the Huntington, followed by a stroll through the Arboretum. Possibly a lovely, afternoon boat ride to Catalina Island with dinner and an evening stroll by the beach. Lovely, Lovely, Lovely.

I will Love and Miss You Forever!

<3 My favorite Pinup girl <3

1918-2012

My grandma was one of the best people I have ever known. I have never known anyone more dedicated to family, or full of life than she was. I know everyone says that, but I am so happy that I can say that I watched my grandma do the Charleston in her livingroom on her 90th birthday. I don't know who I would be today if it weren't for my granny and I know most of my cousins can say the same. She gave me my first pair of pinup shoes when I was 15, and told me about burlesque dancers while I played with her fur coats. "When I was your age, I wanted to be a stripper" - Eleanor Nephew. Oh, Grandma I just wanna come over and play in the attic for a while.

How to Remove Permanent Hair Dye Without Bleach!

Lately I have been dealing with an issue that I have dealt with many times before. It is a common occurance for those retro types who cant decide if they're a Marilyn or a Bettie. The issue, How to get black permanent hair dye out of your hair without bleach! I'll admit, that there isn't really a perfect solution, but there are a bunch of things you can try.

Things to try in order from most to least effective:

1. Color Opps ($13 at CVS)
2. Loreal Hair Dye remover
3. random combinations of vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice and olive oil
4. Clarifying shampoos (Prell, Head and shoulders...)
5. Sun In spray

This is my hair after my first application of color opps. I naturaly have blonde hair and have been dying it black for nearly 2 years.
